I enjoy photography because, as they say, a picture is worth a 1000 words, but I also like words. Words can add description, meaning, insight and commentary. They can also be used to express opinion and to provide guidance. Time and experience have engendered a fascination with the use of good English (and inevitably an annoyance with it’s misuse). I have included a Blog in my website where I write a few, hopefully well chosen, words about my travels, my photography and, increasingly , my observations on topics that interest me. Inherent with a desire to share some words as well as pictures, I have written a book called ” A Matter of Taste“. This experience has been enlightening and I am hopeful of more interaction with those of you who check out the book, visit my blog and review my photographs. Perhaps this isn’t by definition a service, but, who knows, maybe it could become a channel for mutual observations and sharing of guidance and advice on the art and science of photography.
