Italian Streets

I enjoy Street Photography and I enjoy being in Italy. There is a natural symbiosis with these to passions because the photogenic people of Italy and the iconic backdrops and locations lend themselves automatically to this favourite genre. I have many photographs from many visits to Italy and amongst those vistas and landscapes, and of course photos of food and cafes there is unsurprisingly a significant proportion that can be attributed to the genre of Street Photography. Walking around the streets of Italian cities, towns and villages remains a pleasure and there are always subjects and natural compositions that mean the camera is always at hand.

Here’s a slideshow featuring a selection of images gathered over various meanders around the streets, notably of Siena but also quite a few other locations around photogenic Italy.
