Readers of my blogs or visitors to this website might have been wondering why there had been no activity from me recently. I hadn’t fallen of the earth, I’d just travelled to the other side of it for a fabulous trip taking in a stay in Sydney, Australia and then a tour of the North and South Islands of New Zealand.
The cameras were active as there was so much to see, and do, and record. So I’ve got lots of photographs and now begins the job of reviewing and selecting images for a New Zealand gallery. The Country is so amazing and being on a road trip visiting so many locations, it will come as no surprise that I’ve got my work cut out to edit the selection for a gallery and for slideshows.
We started in Sydney for a few days and even that selection of trips, tours, visits and walk-arounds means that there are many (too many) photographs of the Opera House, the Harbour bridge and other landmarks.
The tour of New Zealand stated in the North Island with a stay in Russell the Bay of Islands, travelling through and staying in various locations including Hamilton, Taupo, Napier, and Wellington, and then took the ferry to South Island to drive around from Nelson, Kiakoura, Lake Tekapo, Te Anau, Milford Sound, Wanaka, the Haast Pass, Franz Josef glacier, Greymouth and the lovely Christchurch.
All in all a wonderful and recommended road trip. I intend to publish several images as soon as I can so watch this space, and keep visiting my website for updates and new images.
