It’s beginning to look a lot like Christmas

As many of my blog readers will have noticed, I am partial to composing a verse or two. I find it an enjoyable way of sending a message or sharing some information in a more humorous and compelling way.
Many people add a note or two inside their Christmas cards, letting you know about events that might have happened since the last communication. For some this is a quick update and for others it can be quite a Newsletter.
I would often do the same, and a few years ago I started putting the news into the form of verse. Well, it has now become a tradition and every Christmas card now contains a ditty where I have tried to let people know what we’ve been up to that year and what we have in mind for the year to come.
For this blog I have combined my 2017 Christmas card message and my love of putting slideshows together, so here’s my verse for this year.
It should also give you a clue about a series of photographs that will be appearing next Spring, so there’s something else to look forward to.
As the view out of my window is of the snow laden branches of the trees in the garden, “it’s beginning to look a lot like Christmas” ( cue Michael Buble) and so I will also take this opportunity of wishing everyone a very Merry Christmas and a happy, healthy and safe 2018.
